Timothy Sheader's new production of Carousel concludes the summer season at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic musical has captivated audiences across the world since its original Broadway opening in 1945 and was named Best Musical of its Century by Time Magazine in 1999.

Carousel is a romantic fantasy tracing the gripping story of the doomed love affair between Billy Bigelow, a smooth-talking New England carousel barker, and Julie Jordan, a naïve young mill worker. A gritty depiction of relationships, the musical was innovative for its time.

The moving score features celebrated songs including You'll Never Walk Alone, Mister Snow, If I Loved You and June Is Bustin' Out All Over.
